The Role

Why Foundation First?

Impact investors need de-risked, documented opportunities. Governments need proven models before committing public funds. Corporates need quality frameworks they can trust.

The Foundation creates all of these. It funds the work that makes everything else possible—system design, feasibility studies, pilot programs, measurement frameworks, and the open-source knowledge commons.

Without philanthropic capital willing to fund pre-commercial work, the entire architecture cannot function. This is why we start with Foundation.

Foundation Enables Everything

1
Blueprints → Investment Theses

County designs become bankable opportunities for Impact LP

2
Pilots → Track Records

Documented outcomes build confidence for government co-investment

3
Frameworks → Quality Standards

EatoIndex gives corporates measurable impact they can report

Questions

Frequently Asked

We don't fund individual farms or projects in isolation. We fund the intelligence layer—system design, measurement frameworks, and pilot programs—that makes all subsequent investment more effective. Our outputs are open-source and designed to unlock private and public capital at scale.

EatoFund Foundation will be structured as an Irish charitable trust with appropriate tax-exempt status. Contributions from Irish and many international donors should qualify for tax relief. We recommend consulting your tax advisor for your specific situation.

There is no minimum. However, we're specifically seeking anchor philanthropic commitments of €500K-€2M to establish the Foundation. Smaller contributions are welcome and will be pooled to support specific outputs like county blueprints or pilot programs.

100% of contributions fund the Foundation's core work: system design, academic partnerships, pilot programs, measurement frameworks, and knowledge commons. We maintain full transparency on allocation and outcomes through regular reporting.

We're targeting Q2-Q3 2026 for formal establishment, contingent on securing anchor funding commitments. Pre-launch work on system design and partnership development is already underway.

Foundation-funded work de-risks projects before they're ready for Impact LP investment. Blueprints become investment theses. Pilots become track records. Measurement frameworks become due diligence tools. This coordination is what makes EatoFund's architecture unique.
